Oregon Legislature Passes Sweeping Carbon Reduction Goals

Oregon set one of the country's most ambitious goals for reducing greenhouse gas emissions from the electricity sector. HB 2021 passed the State Legislature a couple of weeks ago, and aims to largely eliminate carbon emissions from the grid by 2040. 100% Clean was a top priority for Oregon Environmental Council, who expressed their excitement that Oregon will be on track for the fastest transition to clean energy in the county.

“Congratulations to OEC, along with its partners, who worked together to bring this meaningful legislation to fruition," said Debra Dunn, OEC Board member. Read more about the bill.
