Gender Equality? Not in this Lifetime.
Women around the world won’t see economic gender equality for 217 years, according to a new report from the World Economic Forum.
The WEF report on the global gender gap measures women’s economic participation and opportunity, educational attainment, health and survival, and political empowerment as compared to men’s. They found that it will take 100 years to close the gap across all four categories in the 106 countries surveyed for the report every year since its inception in 2006.
